Where have I been?

Well, maybe this is a surprise to some (or maybe you haven't noticed it), but I have been on a bit of an article-writing sabbatical. I assure you, this has nothing (well, almost nothing) to do with any of these game systems.

For those who don't know me personally, I just got married! The last few months have been extremely busy for me for various reasons, not the least of which was a rather large and fun wedding! (or two. I see you, Will)

But, now I can say I am a very happy newlywed! I can also say I will happily be coming back to you with some new content very soon. So, let's do a small breakdown of where I'm at with each game line:

Legion - I won my very first tournament at the beginning of August! I thoroughly enjoy Legion 260 when I do get to play it, but I have not played as much as I would like. As we all know, tabletop games can be quite the time and money sink, neither of which I've had a lot of for the last few months. I am hoping that I will have more time to play in the near future. I will definitely be at LVO to play in the Legion Invitational and hopefully meet some of you! (Bring your game faces cause I'm out for blood >:) also, bring your best SWU decks, I wanna play).

Shatterpoint - I love Shatterpoint. The minis are fantastic and the online community is amazing. The release schedule has been very hard to keep up with for the last few months. I'm sure this is a sentiment that many of us can relate to. As a content creator, I try my best to purchase every product that AMG puts out for the games that I play. Sadly, that just hasn't been in the cards for me recently and thus my overall interest has faltered. However, be not afraid! I will be trying to hop back into the online communities and tournaments as soon as is feasible for me!

Armada and X-Wing - I do feel bad that I haven't addressed either of these communities yet. Armada was my first TTWG and still one that I hold quite dear. It saddened me to hear about both of these games losing support but I can't say I was surprised. In case you're unaware, both of these games still have very active and incredible communities! Very gracious volunteers are working their hardest to create new systems for both games!

The X-Wing Alliance has been working very hard to keep their community intact and thriving! If you're interested in reading about their group go here: https://www.xwing.life/home

A very similar group of people are working with Armada here: https://www.armadalegacy.com/

As I've started to get more time and resources, I've also started to enjoy other games! I recently got back into Star Wars Unlimited! It is such a fun game and I am toying with trying my hand at some content for it as well. If not me, then I may seek out an interested party to assist me with creation! I am not traditionally a TCG player so some of the finer opinions and ideas soar over my head like a TIE Fighter. If you or anyone you know may be interested in creating some SWU content, let me know! email: diceandcardboard@gmail.com

I leave you with these: some images of my new wife, Ashley, and I, along with some of our closest friends we've made from playing any and all of these amazing games!

(also I guess this is a face-reveal? If you haven't met me IRL yet)
